Cannes 2009 Lineup (Unconfirmed)

Variety posted the "tentative" lineup of films to be shown at Cannes this year.  Official announcement on April 23; festival starts on May 13.

"Inglourious Basterds" (d. Quentin Tarantino)
"Taking Woodstock" (d. Ang Lee)
"Tetro" (d. Francis Ford Coppola)
"Bad Lieutenant" (d. Werner Herzog)
"Drag Me to Hell" (d. Sam Raimi)
"Up" (d. Pete Docter)
"Antichrist" (d. Lars von Trier)
"Looking for Eric" (d. Ken Loach)
"Vengeance" (d. Johnny To)
"Fish Tank" (d. Andrea Arnold)
"The White Ribbon" (d. Michael Haneke)
"Broken Embraces" (d. Pedro Almodovar)
"Vincere" (d. Marco Bellocchio)
"Mother" (d. Bong Joon-ho)
"Thirst" (d. Park Chan-wook)
"Spring Fever" (d. Lou Ye)
"City of Life and Death" (d. Lu Chuan)
"Air Doll" (d. Hirokazu Kore-eda)
"Face" (d. Tsai Ming-liang)

and rumored...
"The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" (d. Terry Gilliam)

I'm salivating.  Apart from the MASSIVE Asian influx this year (if you didn't believe they were the next big school of cinema, I guess you do now), the premiere of new stuff from Tarantino, Lee, Coppola, Herzog, Raimi, von Trier, Campion, Loach, Haneke, and Almodovar in the same couple of days is awesomeness at its best.
